GOALS
Harassment by a fellow employee and harassment by an employer are both forms of discrimination under human rights laws if they are based on a prohibited ground.
People can report discrimination to the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission by completing an intake questionnaire that details what happened.
After a complaint is made the Commission will help the parties try to resolve the matter by agreement. If it cannot be resolved by agreement there will be an investigation after which the Chief Commissioner will decide what other steps, if any, need to be taken.
One result of an investigation can be that the case is referred to court for a hearing. In most cases parties must first try to resolve the matter through mediation. If the court finds there has been discrimination there are a number of orders they can make.
