Taxation

Taxes are how governments collect money to operate and provide services such as health care, roads and policing. Two main types of taxes are property taxes and income tax.

Property Taxes

If you own real property, you must pay property taxes. Understand how these taxes are determined and how the funds are used.

Income Tax

An income tax return is used to calculate your taxable income, deductions and tax credits. It may also be required to qualify for some federal programming.

The Regina Public Library and Saskatoon Public Library are hosting free Law Fair events during Saskatchewan Access to Justice Week to connect people with free legal information, assistance, and support. Attend to acquire legal knowledge and to broaden awareness of legal rights and responsibilities!
