eHealth Saskatchewan

eHealth Saskatchewan maintains health registries and vital statistics. They deal with name changes, changes to birth registrations, and access to birth registrations.

Through eHealth Saskatchewan, you can:

  • change your name through an application process
  • change your name by election for spouses and separating spouses
  • change the parents listed on a birth registration
  • change the sex designation on a birth certificate
  • for birth parents and adopted individuals, access information on birth registration

Birth Registrations & Certificates

All births in Saskatchewan must be properly registered. There are rules that govern naming a child and the information that will appear on their birth certificate.

Name Changes

People may change their name for a variety of reasons in a variety of circumstances. Find out more about the rules that apply to you.

The Regina Public Library and Saskatoon Public Library are hosting free Law Fair events during Saskatchewan Access to Justice Week to connect people with free legal information, assistance, and support.
