Workplace Safety

Occupational Health and Safety laws help protect everyone’s safety in the workplace. Saskatchewan’s Occupational Health and Safety Division oversees these laws. You can contact them if you have a concern about workplace safety.

If you have a workplace health or safety concern you can contact the division toll-free at 1-800-567-7233.

The Occupational Health and Safety Division handles workplace safety complaints, including complaints about:

  • improper safety training or procedures
  • physical hazards such as toxic materials
  • an employee’s right to a harassment-free workplace

Some businesses and industries, such as airports, banks and telecoms, are regulated by the federal government. In these cases, the federal Labour Program deals with workplace safety issues.

Health & Safety Rights

Workplace safety is everyone's responsibility. It is important to know your rights.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

Rights and responsibilities go hand in hand. Understanding both your rights and responsibilities is important for the health and safety of you and those around you.

Workplace Incidents

Reporting workplace incidents improves workplace safety and helps to prevent future incidents.

The Regina Public Library and Saskatoon Public Library are hosting free Law Fair events during Saskatchewan Access to Justice Week to connect people with free legal information, assistance, and support. Attend to acquire legal knowledge and to broaden awareness of legal rights and responsibilities!
