PLEA’s Request a Speaker program connects volunteer lawyers and professionals with community groups seeking legal education presentations. By joining our roster, you’ll have the opportunity to share your knowledge and help the public gain a better understanding of important legal topics.
Join the Roster – Saskatchewan lawyers and approved professionals sign up to be part of PLEA’s speaker network.
Matching Process – When a community Coordinator requests a speaker on a specific legal topic, PLEA’s Program Assistant selects a Speaker from the roster based on expertise, location and availability.
Speaking Opportunity Offered – The Program Assistant reaches out to the selected Speaker to confirm their interest in the event.
Event Coordination – If the Speaker is available, they are connected with the event Coordinator to finalize the details.
Resource Materials Provided – PLEA supplies resource materials and/or a brief course outline on the topic, if available, to help support the presentation.
Presentation Delivered - The speaker presents legal information in plain language, using examples, case studies, or discussion to encourage understanding.
Submit Feedback – The Program Assistant asks the Speaker and Coordinator to share their experiences by completing a feedback form, which helps us improve the Request a Speaker program.
Volunteering as a Speaker is a meaningful way to give back and support public legal education. To get started, please complete our sign-up form. This will help us match you with speaking opportunities that align with your experience and interests. If your details or availability change, simply resubmit the form to update your information.
We value your time and dedication as a volunteer Speaker and appreciate your efforts in sharing your expertise. To help us improve our program and support future speakers, we kindly ask you to submit feedback after your session.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled presentation, or if changes must be made, please notify both parties promptly so alternate arrangements can be made:
the Coordinator (whose contact information is shown on your confirmation email) and
the PLEA Program Assistant
